Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store access data in what are known as server log files, such as the name of the file requested, the date and time of retrieval, the volume of data transferred, and the requesting provider. These data are processed solely to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our service. They do not allow us to trace your identity.
Collection and use of data for the processing of contracts and the opening of customer accounts
We collect the personal data which you voluntarily disclose to us when placing a purchase order, when contacting us (e.g. using the contact form or by email) or when opening a customer account. The data which are collected can be seen on the respective input forms. We use the data provided by you to prepare contracts and to process your enquiries. After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted on expiry of the compulsory retention periods under commercial and fiscal law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data after this time, as permitted by law and as set out below. Your customer account may be deleted at any time, either by notifying the contact person below or by using the function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
Data transfer for contract fulfilment
For the fulfilment of contracts we pass your data on to the shipping company instructed to deliver the goods ordered, where applicable and necessary. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, we forward the payment data collected for the processing of payments to the financial institution instructed to remit the payment and, where applicable, to service providers carrying out payments on our instructions or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect these data themselves if you open an account with them. In this case, you are required to log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. The data privacy statement issued by the respective payment service provider will apply in this respect.
Use of data for email newsletter subscriptions
If you register for our newsletter, we use the data required for the subscription or the data separately communicated by you in order to send you our email newsletter regularly in accordance with your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact person below or by following the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
We also reserve the right to store your forename, surname, postal address and – if we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth, occupation, company name or line of business in combined lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send interesting offers and information on our products by post. You may object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to that effect to the contact person below.
Credit checks and credit score
If we deliver in advance of payment, e.g. in case of purchases on account, we reserve the right to obtain identity and credit information from specialist service providers (credit reference agencies) in order to safeguard our legitimate interests. The credit information may contain probability values (scores) which are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical methods used in statistics involving various data including address details. We use the information received on the statistical probability of non-payment in order to make an informed decision on the establishment, implementation or termination of the contractual relationship. Your legitimate interests are taken into account in accordance with the legal provisions.

You have a right to be informed, free of charge, of what data about you are held on our database and, where applicable, you have a right to the rectification, blockage or erasure of these data.
